Rock N Roll Sushi is highlighting premium blue crab across a seasonal menu that runs through October 25, a shift from the imitation crab commonly used in sushi rolls. The CrabFest lineup includes three items: California Dreamin' Roll pairs blue crab with avocado and cucumber, topped with toasted sesame seeds and lemon. It starts at $12.99. Firecracker Roll combines blue crab, crispy tempura crunchies and green onion, topped with smoked salmon, fresh jalapeño, togarashi pepper, sriracha and the restaurant's signature Headbanger Sauce. Pricing starts at $16.99. Rockin' Refresher blends diced mango, mango syrup and Minute Maid Lemonade. It starts at $4.99. All pricing varies by location. "Seasonal menus give our culinary team the opportunity to showcase ingredients in unexpected ways while staying true to what our guests love most," said Josh Patrick, vice president of procurement and culinary for Rock N Roll Sushi. "While many sushi rolls traditionally feature imitation crab, CrabFest highlights premium blue crab paired with bold flavors and creative combinations, creating something memorable and distinctly Rock N Roll Sushi." Rock N Roll Sushi operates more than 75 locations across the southeastern U.S. The concept sources U.S.-grown rice and fresh avocados from Mexico for its signature sushi rolls, hibachi, bowls and appetizers.

Why It Matters

Seasonal promotions that emphasize ingredient quality—especially premium proteins like real crab over commodity substitutes—offer operators a way to justify price increases while differentiating from competitors relying on lower-cost alternatives.
