A new seafood and steak restaurant at Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Orange Lake Resort in Kissimmee, Florida is now open to the public — marking a significant expansion of the resort operator's foodservice footprint and placing a premium seafood program in front of one of the country's highest-volume leisure travel markets.
Stone & Current, situated in the resort's River Island area, anchors its menu around fresh seafood and hand-cut steaks, with curated wines and handcrafted cocktails rounding out the offering. The restaurant is open for dinner nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and offers weekend brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A lounge component remains open until midnight.
Entry Into Magical Dining
The launch coincides with Stone & Current's debut in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining, presented by Orlando Health — a regional prix-fixe program running Aug. 14 through Sept. 30, 2026. The restaurant joins more than 180 participating Orlando-area venues, offering a three-course dinner for $40 per person, plus tax and gratuity. For foodservice operators with a seafood program, Magical Dining represents a proven channel for trial-driving volume during what is historically a competitive late-summer dining window in Central Florida.
"Stone & Current was created to bring a premium dining experience to Orange Lake Resort while still feeling warm, comfortable and approachable for families," said Thad Gregory, Senior Vice President of Resort Operations at Holiday Inn Club Vacations. "Participating in Visit Orlando's Magical Dining for the first time gives us an exciting opportunity to introduce Stone & Current to diners throughout Central Florida."
Resort Seafood in Context
Resort-anchored seafood programs have grown as a segment as major hospitality operators look to differentiate F&B offerings and capture incremental per-guest spend. Florida's Gulf and Atlantic proximity gives Kissimmee-area venues a logistical advantage for sourcing fresh finfish and shellfish, and the Orlando market's year-round tourist volume provides a reliable demand base that purpose-built coastal seafood destinations often lack. For the supply chain, resort accounts of this profile represent consistent, high-throughput relationships distinct from street-level independent operators.
Holiday Inn Club Vacations operates a network of 22 resorts across the United States and the Mexican Caribbean. Orange Lake Resort, its flagship property, has operated near Walt Disney World Resort since 1982. Stone & Current represents the company's latest investment in on-property dining as resort operators across the industry increasingly treat food and beverage as a revenue center rather than an amenity.
On the charitable side, $1 from each $40 Magical Dining meal sold will benefit OCA (Opportunity, Community, Ability), with Visit Orlando directing additional donations to six local nonprofits. For operators tracking brand-level sustainability and community engagement metrics alongside their seafood sourcing programs, cause-marketing integration of this type has become standard practice in premium resort dining.
For Central Florida's seafood supply chain — including regional distributors serving the I-4 corridor and specialty purveyors supplying resort accounts — Stone & Current represents a new entry point worth monitoring as the program scales beyond its opening season. Operators and distributors interested in how resort foodservice is reshaping seafood demand in high-volume leisure markets will find Orange Lake a useful case study.
